This scenario reminds me of the book Catch-22 all too perfectly. The book’s Wikipedia page refers to it as “closed logic loop.” Back to real life: “The [clinical] trial was stopped due to ‘ethical considerations’ for being too effective.” Now, they can’t give the too-effective drug to patients because it hasn’t completed the trial. | learn more
