I’ll start from the beginning. CeaseFire is a program that attempts to help rival gangs mediate and de-escalate disputes to reduce violence. To get it done, they often hire former gang members as mediators. One of those mediators, Francisco “Smokey” Sanchez, was recently arrested for gun possession.
