A tale of two headlines: when Illinois moved quickly to buy masks

Illinois’ Governor Pritzker moved relatively quickly to increase the local supply of masks for healthcare workers. Though N95 was the approved standard, they were in short supply so the state’s purchases included KN95 masks too (now deemed OK by CDC). Officials in another state have found some KN95 masks aren’t up to standards so they’re issuing a recall.
